Powertrain coverage helps protect many of the key parts working inside your engine. Covered components can include pistons, connecting rods, the crankshaft, camshaft, valves, timing components, oil-pump components, cylinder head, cylinder block, manifolds, flywheel, flex plate, water pump, mechanical fuel pump and engine mounts. Your customer contract provides the complete list of covered components.

Your transmission contains many moving parts that work together to transfer power and keep the vehicle shifting properly. Coverage can include the transmission case, torque converter, valve body, pump, gears, clutches, bands, drums, bearings, shafts, solenoids, synchronizers, shift forks and sensors. The repair facility must receive authorization before repairs begin.

These systems help carry power from the transmission to the wheels and are especially important in rear-wheel, all-wheel and four-wheel-drive vehicles. Covered components can include differential parts, axle shafts, CV joints, U-joints, the drive shaft, hub bearings and listed transfer-case gears, chains, bearings, shift forks, selector motors and sensors. If your vehicle has a factory-installed turbocharger or supercharger, selected components may be included in Powertrain coverage. These can include housings, internal components, actuators, control solenoids, intercoolers, bearings and shafts. Certain engine, transmission and differential seals and gaskets may also be included when connected to a covered repair. Complete coverage details are provided in the customer contract.
