Solutions • EXCLUSIONARY

Our most comprehensive level of protection.

Exclusionary coverage provides broad protection for eligible vehicle components, except for items specifically identified as exclusions in the customer contract.

WHAT’S IN THE CONTRACT

Broad protection,
clearly defined.

ConnexFlex Exclusionary is designed to provide comprehensive protection for eligible vehicle components. Rather than listing every covered component, the contract identifies the specific items and conditions that are excluded from coverage.

How Exclusionary
coverage works

Review how broad component protection, contract exclusions and the repair authorization process work together. Actual coverage is determined by the customer contract.

01

Broad component protection

+
Exclusionary coverage takes a broad approach to vehicle protection. Instead of providing only a list of covered parts, it generally protects eligible components unless the contract specifically identifies them as excluded. This can make the coverage easier to understand when an unexpected mechanical or electrical breakdown occurs. The customer contract and Registration Page determine the protection provided for each vehicle.
02

Getting a repair authorized

+
If your vehicle experiences a problem, take it to a licensed repair facility and ask the facility to contact the claims team before beginning repairs. The claims team will review the contract, confirm the applicable coverage and authorize eligible repairs. The repair facility may also need to inspect or disassemble the vehicle to identify the cause of the breakdown. Repairs completed before authorization may not be eligible for coverage.
03

Customer responsibilities

+
Keeping your coverage in good standing includes maintaining the vehicle according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and keeping records of completed maintenance and repairs. You will also need to keep required payments current, report breakdowns during the active contract term, obtain authorization before repairs begin and pay the deductible shown on the Registration Page. If a warning light or other sign of trouble appears, stop driving when it is safe to prevent additional damage.
04

Items not covered

+
Like every vehicle service contract, Exclusionary coverage has limits. Routine maintenance, normal wear items, pre-existing conditions and repairs completed without prior authorization are not covered. Other exclusions can include damage caused by collisions, road hazards, rust, corrosion, overheating, improper maintenance, low fluids or unauthorized vehicle modifications. Review the sample contract for the complete list of exclusions and conditions.

This page provides a general summary and does not describe every exclusion, condition or limitation. Coverage is determined solely by the customer contract and Registration Page. Availability, eligibility, pricing, deductibles, limits and terms may vary by vehicle and state.
