Vehicle Owner FAQs

01

What is ConnexFlex?

+
ConnexFlex is a vehicle service contract offered through participating dealerships for eligible new and pre-owned vehicles. Instead of requiring the full contract price upfront, ConnexFlex begins with an enrollment fee followed by monthly payments. Coverage is based on the vehicle’s mileage and may adjust as the odometer increases, subject to the terms, limits, and exclusions in the customer contract.
02

How do I purchase ConnexFlex?

+
ConnexFlex is available through participating dealerships. The dealership will review your vehicle information to determine eligibility, the coverage level assigned by its current mileage, pricing, and applicable program terms. If the vehicle qualifies, you can complete enrollment directly through the dealership.
03

How do the payments work?

+
You begin by paying a one-time enrollment fee when ConnexFlex is purchased through the dealership. Your first monthly payment is due 30 days after enrollment, and payments continue each month. Coverage remains active while required payments are current and all contract conditions are met.
04

How is my coverage level determined?

+
Your vehicle’s odometer reading determines its starting coverage level at enrollment. Eligible lower-mileage vehicles may begin with broader protection, while higher-mileage vehicles begin at a level focused on major mechanical systems. This removes the need to compare and select between several different plans at the dealership.
05

What happens as my vehicle’s mileage increases?

+
Your vehicle begins at the coverage level matching its mileage on the enrollment date. If the vehicle enters another mileage range before a claim is submitted, the applicable coverage may move to the corresponding level. This StairStep approach allows protection to adjust gradually instead of ending all at once.
06

Can I purchase ConnexFlex for a pre-owned vehicle?

+
ConnexFlex may be available for eligible new and pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs. Eligibility depends on factors such as the vehicle’s mileage, model year, condition, state of registration, and applicable program requirements. A participating dealership can review the vehicle information and confirm whether coverage is available.
07

What does ConnexFlex cover?

+
The components protected by ConnexFlex depend on the coverage level that applies to your vehicle. Exclusionary generally covers eligible components except those specifically identified as exclusions, while Premier, Powertrain Plus, and Powertrain cover listed components within specified systems. Your customer contract and Registration Page provide the complete coverage details.
07

What is Exclusionary coverage?

+
Exclusionary is the most comprehensive ConnexFlex coverage level for eligible lower-mileage vehicles. Rather than providing only a list of covered parts, it generally protects eligible vehicle components except items and conditions specifically identified as exclusions. All coverage is subject to the customer contract.
08

How do I file a claim?

+
If your vehicle experiences a problem, take it to a licensed repair facility and ask the facility to contact the ConnexFlex claims team before beginning repairs. The claims team will review the diagnosis, customer contract, current mileage, and applicable coverage level. Repairs completed before authorization may not be eligible for coverage.
09

Can I choose my own repair facility?

+
Repair facility requirements are explained in your customer contract. Before approving any repairs, contact the claims team to confirm that the facility meets the contract requirements and understands the authorization process. The repair facility must receive approval before covered work begins.
10

What am I responsible for as the vehicle owner?

+
You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and keeping records of completed maintenance and repairs. Required monthly payments must remain current, and breakdowns must be reported during the active contract period. You must also obtain authorization before repairs begin and pay the deductible shown on your Registration Page.
11

What is not covered?

+
ConnexFlex does not cover every repair or vehicle condition. Routine maintenance, normal wear items, pre-existing conditions, and repairs completed without prior authorization are not covered. Other exclusions and limitations are described in the customer contract, which should always be reviewed for complete details.
12

Is ConnexFlex insurance or a manufacturer’s warranty?

+
No. ConnexFlex is a vehicle service contract, not an insurance policy or manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage, exclusions, limits, deductibles, cancellation rights, and claim requirements are governed solely by the contract issued to the customer. Program availability, pricing, and terms may vary by vehicle and state.
12

Can I cancel ConnexFlex?

+
Cancellation rights, applicable fees, and any available refund are governed by your customer contract and may vary by state. Review the cancellation section of your agreement for the exact requirements and instructions. Customer support can help if you have questions about the process.
